A Springtime Seattle Run

Seattle, you’re pretty.

You really are. I appreciate you. I appreciate all your water everywhere. I’m glad I moved to you.

Michigan, I still love and miss you, and you are undoubtedly also very pretty. You’ve got the water thing going on too. But you see, Mich, February isn’t your best month. Nor is March or April. Sorry.

To be fair, February isn’t the best month for anyone, Seattle included. But! Despite the fact that Seattle is above the 45th parallel, somehow this is happening:

Those are daffodils. Daffodils growing out of the ground. Daffodils ready to bloom. In FEBRUARY.

So, yesterday I wandered lonely as a cloud (meaning I took my camera on my 9 mile run) and took pictures of all the green growing things in our neighborhood.

Above is one of my favorite places to run -it’s so green. It’s like Fern Gully, minus the terrifying gloppy pollution monster (thank goodness).

More flowers. Nice job, Seattle.

Nice job indeed.
