Love ’em, obviously.
We woke up bright and early and ready to run!
This 5k was G’s first organized race.
He took it very seriously.
Just kidding. It was a light-hearted, fun event. We joined 3000 other runners for a 3.1 mile run around Green Lake.
We got to the race in plenty of time, lined up near the start, and took some pictures with Tushar and Paul, our awesome spectators!
This guy is ready to RUN!
I look so sleepy! But I wasn’t. A race atmosphere really charges you up.
So many runners!
It was a sea of red and pink.
And some folks had terrific costumes. Romantic dinner for two, anyone?
G and I ran together, and we ran the whole time. G did an amazing job, and I think he really enjoyed it. It is such a feeling of accomplishment to run a race, and it’s so inspiring to see all the other runners.
Green Lake is lovely to run around. Very pretty and pretty flat. Lots of ducks. It was a little grey and windy this morning, but no rain!
It’s always such a good feeling to cross the finish line!
A very fun run! Our time was 31:48.
Proud and happy runners!
Bringing love to the streets of Seattle!
